Welcome to Cordillera
Cordillera: Four Distinctive Communities in the Heart of the Rockies
Spanning over 7,000 acres and surrounded by more than one million acres of the White River National Forest, Cordillera is a collection of four exclusive gated communities near downtown Edwards, each offering a unique mountain lifestyle.
Three of these communities—The Divide, The Ranch, and The Summit—are located south of I-70 along scenic Squaw Creek Road, while The Valley Club sits on the north side of I-70, just past the Vail Valley Medical Center campus, within the private gates of Cordillera Valley Club.
The Divide
Perched at 8,000 feet, The Divide is distinguished by its European-inspired architecture, featuring homes that blend timeless elegance with alpine sophistication.
The Ranch
Once a working ranch, The Ranch pays homage to the American West with homes that incorporate log, stone, and timber elements. This neighborhood offers year-round outdoor enjoyment, including 21 miles of hiking and winter trails, a dedicated Nordic ski track, and the Hale Irwin-designed Mountain Course, an 18-hole layout that follows the area’s natural contours with narrow, challenging fairways.
At the heart of the community is The Trailhead at Cordillera, a two-story log lodge and community center that hosts Cordillera Day Camp (Cordy Camp). Amenities include an outdoor pool with a water slide, a playground, and teepees. Residents and guests can also enjoy refined dining at Timber Hearth Grille.
The Summit
Rising to 9,000 feet, The Summit boasts awe-inspiring views of the Gore and Sawatch Mountain Ranges, New York Mountain, and the Flat Tops. This high-altitude community is home to the Jack Nicklaus-designed Summit Golf Course, an 18-hole course that weaves through rolling hills of sage, aspen, and spruce. The clubhouse and Summit Restaurant provide a refined setting for après-golf gatherings and social events.
The Valley Club
Located on the valley floor along the sunlit north side of I-70, The Valley Club features a mix of American West and mountain-modern architecture. The Tom Fazio-designed Valley Course takes full advantage of the high-desert terrain, offering an extended golf season thanks to its lower elevation and southern exposure. Community amenities include a clubhouse with a fitness center, an outdoor pool, a hot tub, two tennis courts, and Chaparral Restaurant.
Equestrian & Outdoor Lifestyle
Beyond its world-class golf courses, Cordillera offers an equestrian center with boarding for up to 48 horses. For those without horses, Bearcat Stables, located on the historic Bearden Homestead, provides winter sleigh rides and guided summer excursions into the backcountry.
For those who appreciate fishing, Cordillera grants property owners private access to 1.3 miles of the Eagle River, as well as five exclusive ponds stocked annually with brown and rainbow trout.
Cordillera seamlessly combines privacy, outdoor adventure, and world-class amenities, making it one of the most coveted residential communities in the Vail Valley.
